Effective 22 APRIL 2005
The Construction Dictionary is committed to your satisfaction with our products and our service.
In order to help us initiate and maintain a professional business relationship
with our customers, the following policies are in effect:
Return Merchandise Policy
To return a product due to damage incurred in shipping, please refer to Items Damaged in Shipping.
Our practice is to replace the product or provide a full refund less shipping fees for items returned within 10 days of receipt, provided you take the following steps:
- Request & receive an RA # (Return
Authorization Number)
- Repack the product being returned in all of its original
packaging.
- Clearly print the RA # on the outside of the box. Please
be advised that any returns without the RA # so noted will be refused at
time of attempted delivery.
- For our protection, the package must be insured for full
value,
to prevent loss should the products be damaged in shipping. We will not
replace or credit your account for merchandise damaged in return shipping;
you must seek reimbursement from the shipper should this occur.
- Pay the shipping cost to return this merchandise
-- we will not accept COD shipments nor will we reimburse your return shipping
costs.
- Time is of the essence! You must ship the product
back so that it is received no later than 10 days from your receipt of the
package. Returns received after that date will be subject to an 20% Restocking
Fee.
Upon receipt of the authorized return merchandise we will replace the product or issue a credit, at your choice.
To request a Return & Replacement Authorization, please log into your account.
Items Damaged in Shipping
If all or part of your order was damaged in shipping, you should immediately call the shipper to arrange an inspection before The Construction Dictionary can file a Damage Claim for your shipment.
- Do not throw away or further damage any of the original packaging! The shipper's representative must be able to inspect all original packaging in the condition in which it was received. If you throw out the packaging or further destroy it, we cannot file a damage claim.
- If the shipper is UPS call 1-800-Call-UPS in the United States or your local UPS office or representative for assistance.
- If the shipper is the USPS you must take the package (with all original packaging materials) to the Post Office from which delivery was made and fill out a Damage Claim form. A Postal Worker at that location will be able to provide any assistance you need.
- If the shipper is a Trucking Company you must inspect the package and its contents before signing the Bill of Lading. Damage and/or missing items must be noted on the Bill of Lading that you sign or claims will not be honored.
- All other shippers will have their own policies regarding damaged receipts that you will need to follow in order to provide proof of damage in shipping. Please contact the local office of the respective shipper for assistance.
- After you have followed the shipper's procedures contact us with the relevant information so that we may begin the process of filing a claim and replacing your order or issuing a refund.
Each shipper's policies regarding receipt of goods damaged in shipping must be strictly followed or we cannot replace or refund the price of the product that was damaged. Unfortunately we cannot assist you should you fail to follow the procedures required by the shipper.
